Our House Disrepair Claiming Process
Have a telephone appointment with you to discuss the items of disrepair and the effects which they have had on you and send you our Terms of Business and Conditional Fee Agreement to sign.
Send a surveyor to your property to prepare a report, detailing the repairs which are required and write to the Landlord and notify them of your claim and request that the repairs be completed within a specific timescale.
Consider any other effects of the disrepair (for example, illness or damage to your personal belongings and send a settlement offer to the Landlord and attempt to negotiate your compensation.
If necessary, consider starting a claim at Court against the Landlord (however, we will always attempt to settle your claim without involving the Court).
